Things to consider when seeking funding for your project: Is your group incorporated? To be eligible to apply for funding you must be a legal entity, such as:
If your group is not incorporated, you must arrange for another legal entity (for example, your local government or an incorporated community group) to administer a contract and funding. Does your project meet the priorities of funding bodies?
Check the list of eligible activities provided by funding bodies on their respective websites.
Does your project fit soundly within the framework of Australian Government policy initiatives relevant to shorebird conservation?
Example WWF-Australia grant application addressing Australian Government policy initiatives.
Does your project have support; financial or in-kind ; from other stakeholders with an interest in your activities/site (eg. landholders, State Agencies, Local Government, community interest groups). |
